Key things to remember in your role as a Week of Caring Team Leader
As a Team Leader you…

  • are the liaison between your volunteer group, the nonprofit organization and the Week of Caring Team (i.e., United Way and the Volunteer Centers of the Bay Area).
  • will help recruit your volunteer team.
  • communicate and organize project logistics
  • communicate with the nonprofit staff about the project details.
    lead your team to complete your chosen activity and have fun on the day of the event.

Three Easy Steps to select your projects:

  • Step 1: Register and discover how easy it is to make a difference in lives across the Bay Area:
  • Step 2: Create a user account with the volunteer centers
  • Step 3: Select Projects: from an extensive list of volunteer opportunities.

Each team should assign a Team Leader for each project.  This person will act as the primary contact between your team and the nonprofit your team will help. This person also will be the main contact between your company and the Week of Caring team.
