They say that volunteering is good for your health. Well, we’re creating a health revolution! Every September, United Way’s Week of Caring connects thousands of helping hands to community organizations for the ultimate Bay Area volunteer opportunity.
This September 10th-15th’s Week of Caring will mark our 22nd year. Be one of the tens of thousands of volunteers who has lent a hand over the years. Signing up your company means a day out of the office to do essential work in the community, team build, and boost morale. You’ll feel great doing projects such as:
- Packing and prepping food at food banks
- Reading to children at a day-care center
- Rebuilding schools, parks, and playgrounds
“I volunteer because of my mom – she raised ten kids as a single parent, but still found time to give back,” said Annette Taylor, Enterprise employee and Week of Caring volunteer. “She often brought us kids along to volunteer, teaching us that we were making our community a better place for everyone.
Join Annette and do something for your health – and of course – our community! Volunteer during United Way’s Week of Caring, Sept. 10th-15th. Register your company before August 31st at www.weekofcaring.org.
