Dozens of certified credit and housing counselors and professional financial planners will be manning the Financial Advice Line, addressing questions from callers throughout the Bay Area.

The Financial Advice Line is a project of the San Francisco Smart Money Network. Calls are answered by certified financial planners from the San Francisco Financial Planning Association and certified credit counselors from Consumer Credit Counseling Service of San Francisco.  211 United Way of the Bay Area volunteers manage phone calls, answer basic questions, and make referrals to experienced counselors and resources. CBS 5 San Francisco is hosting volunteers in studio. Valuable support is also provided by the San Francisco Office of Financial Empowerment and the Office of the Mayor.   It is sponsored by the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation.
