I just came across your Help for Hard Times booklet here at the East Oakland EDD office. It is just what I was looking for – something that can answer that recurring question, “I’m not getting an unemployment check [right away/for six weeks/anymore/ever]?!? What can I do??”

I was pleased to see that a number of twelve-step groups were listed in the 2003 edition we have here at the switchboard desk. Besides being a great free “self-help” resource, I know that a lot of our customers have recurring problems with work, money, and families, not to mention drugs and alcohol, and twelve-step programs are excellent for releasing people from these holistic issues.

I noticed that Debtors Anonymous wasn’t listed, so I checked out your website to see if there was an updated version. I was glad to have a list of more current resources, but surprised to find that NO twelve-step programs are listed in the current guide. Why not?
