Napa County’s foreclosure rates have risen at an astronomical rate in recent years, up 55% from 2006 to 2007. Unfortunately, no nonprofits in the county had the time or resources to provide foreclosure counseling. Road to Recovery donations enabled United Way to jumpstart the Napa Valley Foreclosure Collaborative, which now hosts free, monthly foreclosure assistance workshops and has a dedicated, bilingual attorney to assist residents.
