United Way Campaigns

At United Way we make it easy for your company to provide your employees with meaningful opportunities to give back to the community at the level they feel comfortable, which is a benefit for any corporate culture. We offer giving options such as payroll deduction and electronic pledging that are convenient ways for employees to make a difference in our community. Special benefits, such as challenge grants other corporate matching programs, offer additional chances to maximize the impact an individual gift can make.
And we don’t make you go it alone, we offer training and support that can be customized to meet your needs. We’ll help you build an employee fund-raising team, offer tips to running a great campaign and help you meet your community fund-raising goals. We have a yearly campaign kickoff event, which provides training and support, and we also coordinate a community speaker’s bureau which brings leaders from top local nonprofits to your workplace, helping employees hear firsthand about important community needs and make more informed giving choices.
Our knowledge of the Bay Area and our network of community partners ensures contributions are invested where the needs are greatest. At United Way we’ll help you maximize your community impact and offer many options for Corporate Gifts which our team will help you customize your giving program to match your philanthropic interests.
Through United Way of the Bay Area’s volunteer programs, you can mobilize the caring power of your employees. We offer volunteering opportunities like Week of Caring the largest corporate volunteer event in the Bay Area. Last year more than 8,000 employees volunteered at community organizations across the Bay Area working on many important projects at area nonprofits. Many of these nonprofits wouldn’t be able to complete these essential projects without volunteer support.
United Way also offers year-round customized volunteer opportunities to our corporate partners. These opportunities can be an afternoon project with a United Way SparkPoint Center or a ongoing opportunity such as mentoring youth once a month.
