The Children’s Network of Solano County leads the Earn It! Keep It! Save It! coalition for the county, which not only implements the free tax sites but also advances financial stability programs around the county. For example, the Children’s Network has worked to establish use of the Self-Sufficiency Calculator throughout the county’s family resource centers (the Self-Sufficiency Calculator allows users to learn about eligibility for state and federal public benefits). In addition, Children’s Network advocates for family self-sufficiency programs at the county level, and has created streamlined communication between family resource centers and county benefit programs, to help clients get better access to financial resources.
